Mathematics and the Physical World

"Mentomatics" is a term derived from the word "Mathematics". Man has mastered the world around him. He has explained the laws governing the physical world and the physical forces. This became possible due to his knowledge of science. More specifically, it was the language of mathematics which enabled him to document the laws governing the universe and to reproduce their effects with precision.

With the aid of science and mathematics, man has explored and to a significant extent explained the world around him. He has reached distant planets in our universe and now ventured beyond our universe. Man has gained mastery over the physical world through science and mathematics.

However, what about the other world?

Mentomatics and the Mind

Before the advent of Mathematics, all physical phenomena such as rain, wind, and sunrise were explained using the concept of 'god'. Likewise, all unknown aspects, such as the complex human mind and the reasons for a person's happiness or success, were attributed to god. So we said that god makes us happy and successful. This tendency to attribute everything unexplained to god persists even today.

However, before the emergence of Mathematics, the concept of Mathematics itself would have seemed unimaginable. It would have been inconceivable that the earth was round and floating in space, that we all lived on a round earth without falling off into hell! No one could have imagined that all this would be logically explained with Mathematics. Similarly, today we cannot yet envision a future where all the mysteries of the mind and human behaviour will some day be explained with a new science which I call "Mentomatics". Just as Mathematics gave birth to Physical science and ushered in the Industrial and Information revolutions, Mentomatics will usher in the next big revolution - the Spiritual revolution. The laws of Spiritual world will be explained 'mentomatically'.

What is Mentomatics?

"What is Mentomatics?" you may ask. Mentomatics is as inexplicable and unimaginable today as Mathematics was before its development. Imagine going back in time to an era when Mathematics and Physics did not exist. Picture yourself in that era and ask the question "What is Mathematics?" Can you conceive of an answer? Mathematics would be something unthinkable and unimaginable.

Similarly, all of us living in the pre-Mentomatics era will face the same challenge in answering the question, "What is Mentomatics?". It is a nascent concept, not yet born.

Mentomatics can only be explained through an analogy with Mathematics - Mentomatics is a science or language that will elucidate the currently unexplained realm of the human mind, the dark and mysterious area within the human body and mind, just as Mathematics explained the physical world outside.

Mentomatics will be for Mind Science what Mathematics is for Material/Physical Science.

Just as Mathematics helps to explain the laws of physical space, Mentomatics is a field of study (yet to be developed) that will explain the laws of the mental space, or in other words, the spiritual and mental phenomena. Perhaps, we will discover the coordinates of the mental space inside, just as we define x, y, z as the three coordinates of the physical space (and time the 4th dimension). Just as mathematics explained the laws within the four-dimensional physical space, Mentomatics will explain the dynamics of the mental space.

Indeed, a person of the pre-mathematics era would have to think the unthinkable to imagine Mathematics. Similarly, to conceptualize Mentomatics, one needs think beyond what is currently conceivable and imagine the unimaginable.

Mentomatics and the Concept of God

The concept of God has been used to explain various physical phenomena, such as rain, lunar eclipses, wind, and sunrise, before the advent of Mathematics and Physics. However, with the emergence of Mathematics, these phenomena were explained scientifically, and the concept of God was no longer required. Today, the unknown realm of the mind is still attributed to the directive of God. However, just as Mathematics helped explain the laws of physical science, the new language of Mentomatics will elucidate the laws of the mental and spiritual world. The concept of God and religion will then be explained "mentomatically," and we will be able to understand and reach God in just two minutes.

When will Mentomatics be developed?

When will Mentomatics be developed? There can be no answer to this question. It may take years or thousands of years, or it can be discovered tomorrow. However the book 'God in Two Minutes' suggests the first few essential steps to expedite the development of Mentomatics. Mathematics opened the doors to the development of physical science leading to the Industrial and Information Revolutions. Mentomatics will open the doors to the development of Spiritual science and the Spiritual Revolution.
